Well-said, Kate! Its very tempting to believe-without-question those that say exactly what we want to hear. Many of us fell into this trap in the immediate aftermath of the 2020 Steal. But discernment is a skill which can be honed through practice. And just like any other skill, we often learn the most when we make mistakes. Nothing to be ashamed of as long as we continue to grow. Thanks for pointing this out....and thanks for continuing to write! I love reading your pieces.....and it doesn’t take me half the day to get through like a certain Tiger we know’s work does! 🤪(just kidding BB....you know I greatly admire your writing skills!)

Nicely stated, Kate. I also like a recommendation from @burningbright which I’ll paraphrase. If a bit of information incites strong emotions in you (good or bad), that’s your cue to slow down and ponder. It’s a skill I’m working on. There’s always room for improvement, but I’m getting to be more circumspect. Many thanks and much credit to you and Jon for Badlands.

Very well said... I've always thought that the primary goal of The Awakening is to train the people to constantly be vigilant against the corruption that naturally occurs when people are given authority. Trump could have solved many problems himself much earlier, but his method involves giving We The People the tools to keep this from happening again. Learn to Discern.

Nice to see you writing Kate! I love what you are saying about discernment. I feel like I honed it good when I started beginning each day with God. Reading Jesus Always and the accompanied scripture starts me off right. Thinking of doing that on a vlog. Great to hear from you! Thanks for all you do as a truther. I'm probably your mom's age but I've learned from you and I admire you!

Often a maelstrom of thoughts are generated by a specific feeling, and stay rooted to that. Also, already-existent thoughts attach to and cluster around another feeling. It's difficult to give priority to either feelings or thoughts. 'Thoughts' can occur elsewhere in the human person, not only in the brain as Kate says; I imagine feelings act much the same.

Intuition is not linked to emotion. It is not foreboding. Instinct, which is different than intuition, can be linked to emotion.

If in a specific moment, a person (or animal) is in danger, their instinct will cause them to move away from the danger (as long as they are not too distracted from it). But intuition is not a pushing away from, but rather a pulling toward.

If you are feeling strong emotion (such as fear, panic, depression, grief, etc), you will have a hard time reaching your intuition. If your thoughts are focused on the past (e.g. regret) or the future (e.g. dread or anxiety), you will have a difficult time reaching your intuition.

To hone your access to intuition, practice moving yourself (mind, body, and emotions) into the present moment and into a calm, centered place. There are so many things one can do to help with this. Go for a walk in nature. Place your hand on your heart. Breathe. Focus on your pet. Observe your surroundings keenly just to see what you see. Listen to music that doesn't bring up memories or emotions.

Once you get into a calm (inner quiet) place, then listen.

Here is an analogy. Imagine you are in a store with a friend. There is music playing in the distance, but so subtle, you can hardly hear it. Your friend says to you, "I love this song!" What do you do in response? You listen carefully. You focus on the music in the distance, which you hardly noticed before.

And once you identify the song, suddenly you can hear it clearly.

That is a way to hone your connection with your intuition: listening closely, but not fretfully.

Another hint: intuition is always guidance about right now. It will rarely tell you what to do tomorrow or next week. Don't ask it those kind of questions. It is here and now guidance and is always present, even if we're ignoring it.

If you have a decision to make in the near future, and you don't yet know what to do, reach for the guidance, but don't fret if you can't access it just yet. When you reach for it now, you clear the path toward it. Ask (pray) for the guidance to arrive when needed. Reach for trust and faith that it will be there when you do need it.

The more you practice centering, the easier it is to calm yourself.

The more you listen for your intuition, the easier it is to hear it.

The more you recognize (and remember) the times your intuition worked for you, the more confident you will become about its presence and usefulness to you.

The more you appreciate it, the bigger it becomes.

It can become second nature.

And none of the above is necessary. Your intuition works all on its own. The above is if you want to hone your listening.

I loved your first three paragraphs. While i certainly agree with the rest of your article that discernment is a valuable tool, my heart came alive with the first three paragraphs. Intuition is the key. Prussian schooling represses intuition to make us more controllable. Parents using shame and guilt to control behavior repress our intuition. Junk food, jabs etc repress the intuition. Testosterone represses intuition.

I suspect we can level up our intuition in the coherence of Nature. When we search for truth among all the words flying around we find ourselves weighing one carefully crafted partial lie against another. We get every variety of FOX vs CNN, Rino vs Dino. Doctor vs mom. I mean doctor vs MOM.

Through discernment we quickly discover that everything we hear has a perspective and an agenda, so nothing in the news is coherent with Nature. I always hated it when my brother would trump my logical brilliance with "Everything is Energy". As useless as this phrase appears to be in a political discussion, I must admit that all my logical brilliance was just a little more energy within Everything.

Yes, I agree that discernment helps us hone and learn to trust our intuition. I might also say that it is valuable to quiet the mind and tune down the external and internal chatter. then we can start feeling that coherence with Nature. I once took a channeling class. The teacher finally determined that I needed baby steps and started me on automatic writing. She had me getting up at 3AM when my analytical brain was still asleep and I was too groggy to judge what I wrote. I wrote for an hour. Did that for years.

I suspect you were born intuitive. This often comes with the female package. However, being born with ample is usually not enough. How have you gone about leveling up your intuition?

Hi Kate, Excellent point and a skill that we can all sharpen and hone. I would only add that, we can’t allow other to govern over us any longer, we must all get involved at some level. Volunteer to help with elections, go to city/county board meetings, school board meetings, election commission meetings, you get my point. A few of us, from time to time must run for some of these local positions or the criminal will weasel their way back into having power over us. Freedom is not a prize but, a continuous struggle.

Kate, I want to thank you specifically, I know you do a lot of work behind the scenes and I want to recognize you contributions. Badlands is off to screaming success and I can foresee a great future for you all. Stay true and love each other and it’ll work out wonderfully. ❤️🙏🏻

By the way Kate I’m checking out your Clean Living Project show. Kudos for taking on this very important topic. I didn’t know how else to reach you and didn’t want to DM you on X. I took my family to total clean living in 2012 after learning about GMOS in our food. Back then the research was hard and the transition even harder. I’d love to share with you how we did it. It’s been 12 years now and all of us have reaped amazing benefits from dumping the toxic soup in everything. We also don’t use regular doctors. We stopped vaccinating ten years ago. My 10 year old daughter has never had an antibiotic or a fever reducer bc she’s never needed them. I can give you loads of resources and I would even consider coming on and talking about our journey to use only organic and non gmo products as well as dump harmful chemicals from our lives. I did this basically on my own with my husband’s support. Everyone thought we were crazy. If you need to know more about me I’m RebelGhirl on most social media and RebelGhirl1776 on X. And I have a sub stack here where I’ve written about my journey of waking up. I look forward to hearing back from you. https://rebelghirlnews.substack.com/?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=substack_profile

Discernment was something my pastor father taught me starting in high school. But it is a skill and must be practiced to be maintained. That’s what I’ve learned over my 53 years. Good article and good reminder. Another way to state it is Respond instead of React. Response takes discernment. Reaction is all emotion. And sometimes emotions lie to you. Thanks.
