What a "waskowy wabit" you are Kate! Love your writing! I am like your father in this tale. Probably older than him though. But I have always struggled with trying to "fight the fight" for my family while at the same time being an encouragement to my 3 kids. My wife and I are always trying to "awaken" our 3 kids and their spouses and our 10 grandkids . . . without killing their "will to live"! It is sometimes a struggle, but we are praying that God will awaken them (politically) in His own way and time. Bugs is a good model, but God will be needed here! :o) Phil ~

Well written… and well said!
In addition to not giving yourself enough credit as a writer, you probably don’t understand how much of a leader you are. You were one of the early ones to hit the front lines. To lead the charge. And as new recruits joined the ranks, full of ambition (in addition to piss and vinegar) — but also loads of questions — you set a tone and gave them a direction so they could sling their digital rifle over their shoulder and get in the fight. You helped train up the next generation who could — when the time was right — show the way to those around them. Never out of the fight!
Yes I agree you are a leader! You wrote a very powerful message. I can almost hear you giving this speach on the top of a Ford truck somewhere in the middle of nowhere. The working class folks are raising fists in unison and yelling Yah, Right, you go girl!
Awesome Kate! I've had so many people tell me, "you can't cancel everything!". I'm like, "watch me!". If the matter is of utmost importance you better believe I will cancel even if it means I find new favorites, create my own, or just plain do without. By the way...you just proved it! You are a writer! 😊
Anyone who can use a Bugs Bunny metaphor to explain the shit show we are experiencing is alright with me, doc. I feel like we’re stuck in the square dancing episode and Bugs is kicking our assess! (Over the hill, now over the dale. Now duck your head and lift your tail!) 🤣
Email me at z@zilosophy.org if you ever need help with writing or want to collab. I’ll send you my book and some other writings.
Straight from the heart. That's the best kind of writing - and you pulled it off brilliantly! Thanks for always being you. <3
So glad you mentioned our ace in the hole regarding The Great Awakening - once you're awake you can never go back to sleep. We will only continue to grow. And grow. And grow. That much is clear. The best really IS yet to come! And if it takes 10 of us to get one vote to get past their cheating, or 100 of us, or a 1000, then that's what we'll do. When the future of humanity is at stake, no price is too high to pay.
Kate, your article is brilliant. Get out of your own way. Your dad was right. Utterly, totally and completely right. He could have been my own dad. Or either of my older brothers. Hell, he sounds like me. Your writing is beautiful and so are you. I’ve subscribed because we need more of it. It’s too critical to let slide, it needs sharing. And, btw, Bugs was my and my Dad’s favorite too. (And just for fun, tell Jon and PG you won my CC# before either of them. And they’re both brilliant. 😉. Now, go to war Girl.
When I first found PG I just thought he was a gifted and well trained voice artist. I have been blown away by his depth of knowledge. Jon took Wictor's spark and turned it into a movement. The best minds in the world have read it and cannot dent it. We are in Devo and Gregg Phillips has all but come out and said it. Please Give John and PG a well deserved piece of your CC, but I can't blame you for choosing Kate first!
Wow and thanks just the kick in the ass I needed today. And this is my father's birthday. I asked him to show up and here he is. Thanks Kate, your Dad and Bugs Bunny too.
A bowl of cold cereal, rapped in the blanket you drug off your bed, sitting Indian style in front of a huge console TV on a Saturday morning watching Looney Tunes while your parents slept in. Then cleaning the cereal and milk up after you laughed to hard and got it all over the TV Screen.
You..are..amazing!!! I love your wit, your strength, your intelligence, your sass, and your class!! Please don’t hold back your posts!! This one is really good..I’m actually going to read the first part of it to my 13 year old son so maybe he will further understand why I talk about the world we live in with him. Sometimes I think he thinks I’m crazy but one day, just as you have described so eloquently Kate, he will understand why I talked to him the way I did. Thank you thank you for this Kate!! I adore you! Much love from Cali!!
Very nice. I wish I would have had your parents. Mine just let us do whatever we wanted as long as we did not come home in a police car or drug in by the ear of an angry anyone. Motto: Don’t draw attention. Fortunately it was in the 70’s and we all survived with nothing on our record and no broken bones. It would’ve been a different story in any later decade
Thank you for this! You are blessed with your Dad and how wise you both are. In days gone by, cartoons were for children and especially for adults. There was always a message. (Not sure about today's cartoon messages... ) My Dad and I also share a special bond. He is 92 now.
Thank you Kate and LOVE your sharing of your times with your dad! Gregg Phillips noted in an interview in the last week - we are Americans, we don't give up... Living in Brazil with my wife for now and your dad would have grumbled a lot down here as they are so. damn. passive. Bolsonaro has been able to spark the hopes of many. When push comes to shove with the next election (October) we'll know if that hope converts to action should Lula win - or will they wait for someone within the government (once again) to save them... It is a law you HAVE to vote here otherwise you face some stiff penalties - their President of the Electoral Court, who is also the Chief Justice of the Brazilian Supreme Court (can you say conflict of interest?) prides Brazil in having electronic voting machines (Dominion) and having all the votes counted in one day. NONE of the Left talks about translating the ballots into the intended votes - and in Brazil you can't talk bad about the Chief Justice (unless you are an expat without Brazilian citizenship) for pardoning Lula in full as well as financially supporting the Lula campaign. Bolsonaro is not exempt either as their Constitution makes the Presidency mostly a figurehead position with all the power going to the Chief Justice, making laws that even Congress can't overturn. I'm ranting... or is it grumbling??? We the People of ANY country need to understand the power we have and be decisive about letting Liberty reign... least we end up doing what is happening to many countries, Latin America or otherwise...

I can't tell you how much this comment just meant to me. Thank you so much!
My pleasure, Kate. 🙂

Thank you Kate! Your first substack is a home run! I can't wait to read your next one! Thank you Patriot. 🥰
👍👍👍. Sheeeeeeittt that was good. And yes we never go back. Ron Paul woke me up over thirty years ago.
